Voyages to Vietnam is a collection of more than 600 photographs taken by naval and military veterans of the Vietnam conflict.
Authored by Steve Lewis, it records a bygone era in Australian naval history and captures the humour, spirit and diversity of naval life during Australia's longest military involvement.
The book acknowledges those ships that are no longer afloat, and pays tribute to the Navy's contribution from its highly-decorated helo flight and Clearance Diving Team through to the vessels and crews of the gunline and logistics groups.
The book is now being printed and will be offically launched by the Chief of the Navy at the Vietnam Logistic and Support Personnel Reunion in Brisbane on 30 May 2004, and followed by launchings in all other States.
The book can be previewed at www.myvietnam.com.au (click on the Voyages to Vietnam book picture).
