Presentation of Fleet Air Arm Association medallions 5 July 2006

The Fleet Air Arm Association is continuing its annual award of medallions to the officers and sailors of the Fleet Air Arm who achieve the highest marks in their technical training.

The awards were first presented in 2003 and have been awarded each year since then.

The three categories which are recognised are:

  • the air engineering course;

  • Presentation of Fleet Air Arm Association medallions
  • the advanced technical training course; and

  • basic aircrewman course.

At a ceremony at Nowra, the FAAAA National President, Cdre David Farthing DSC RAN (Rtd), has presented this year's awards to:

  • LEUT Christopher John Clyde (pictured at right with Fleet Air Arm Association President, Cdre David Farthing);

  • CPOATV Matthew John Hyam (pictured at top, right); and

  • Fleet Air Arm Medallions of Merit presentation
  • LSA Bradley John Mills (lower picture, at right).

He congratulated the recipients on achieving standards of excellence and reminded the assembled group of personnel from the squadrons of the Fleet Air Arm's long tradition of excellence.
