MOBI Nirimba Yacht

The ex-Nirimba yacht MOBI Nirimba has been accepted onto the National Australian Maritime Museum’s register of historic vessels, an acknowledgement of her place in Australian maritime history.

The group keeping the yacht afloat, The MOBI Yacht Nirimba Association, think the yacht is both part of RAN history and is well worth preserving. However, the small band of volunteers who give of their time to keep her afloat and operational cannot do it without help from like-minded believers.

The recently-distributed annual newsletter of The MOBI Yacht Nirimba Association Inc asked ‘Strake-Holder’ members to bring their annual $50 membership fees up to date and, as the newsletter was also being distributed to a wider base than just ‘Strake-Holder’ members, invited anybody who wished to assist in the preservation of this icon of RAN Apprentice Training Establishment heritage, to make a donation, or become a ‘Strake-Holder’ member.
