Tall Tales & True from the Boys in Blue is a collection of stories from and about the men of the Royal Australian Navy, put together by ex-POUC Allen (Tich) Lyne.

He made contact with Association members through a website letter in August 2005, appealing for stories to include in this anthology.

Allen has now published Tall Tales & True as a paperback. It includes some of his own stories and some from his brothers-in-arms.

Most of the stories are funny, told with that great good humour that sailors possess, and a few are sad or a little more introspective. Whatever the genre, they all reflect the ethos of the navy – the mateship and the humour.

The book is full of great dits from most branches (including naval aviation) as well as many ships and establishments.

Allen think all ex-sailors will respond to the book. It could also be useful to give to family and friends.

The cost of the book (which has a cover by ex-MOBI Sandy Freeleagus) is $30 including postage to anywhere in Australia. It can be purchased direct from Allen by sending a cheque or postal order to:

Allen Lyne
8 Redgate Court
Moana Heights SA 5169

Or he can supply direct banking details on request - for details, contact Allen on .
