Sea Fury aircraft 105 of the RAN

Hawker Sea Fury 11
Carrier-borne single-seat fighter-bomber. Manufactured by Hawker Aircraft UK.

Power plant: 2480hp 18 cylinder Bristol Centaurus engine.

Armament: 4 x 20mm cannon. 8 x 60lb rockets. 2 x 1000lb bombs.

Range: 680 miles at 30,000ft. Speed:435mph

The RAN purchased 101 Sea Furies and operated them from HMAS Sydney and HMAS Vengeance. The Sea Furies saw active service in the Korean War with 805 and 808 Squadrons.
