The Sikorsky Dargonfly was the RAN's introduction to rotary-wing aviation. One aircraft was loaned from the US Navy's Helicopter Utility Support Squadron No. 1 to the RAN for use aboard the light carrier HMAS Sydney while the ship was on operations in the Korean War.
