Fleet Air Arm Helicopters - Bristol Sycamore HR 50/51

The Sycamore was the RAN's first helicopter. Thirteen were obtained between 1953 and 1961 for sea-air rescue duties from shore and from HMA ships Sydney and Vengeance. They were used extensively during natural disaster relief work.
