ACT Division AGM 6 Nov 2020

The ACT Division of the FAAA of A wishes to advise it will hold the 2020 Annual General Meeting on Friday 6th Nov 2020 at the Canberra Club (previously the RUC) located at 51 Blackall St Barton ACT, commencing at 1630.

REUNIONS SCHEDULED FOR 2020 HAVE BEEN CANCELLED

The Vietnam Veterans Day at Old Bar NSW and the Aircrew Reunion at the HARS facility in Albion Park have both been postponed indefinitely.  They were scheduled for August and October 2020, respectively.

RAN Helicopter Flight Vietnam Awarded Unit Citation for Gallantry

Forty-six years after it was disbanded, the RAN Helicopter Flight Vietnam has been awarded a Unit Citation for Gallantry (UCG). 
The actual Citation, which is a rhodium-plated rectangular frame surrounding a ribbon of deep green, is a warrant presented to selected ADF Units for acts of extraordinary gallantry in action. The Citation consists of a certificate to the unit, signed by the¬†[…]

Retirement of Squirrel and Seahawk S70B-2 Helicopters

¬†On Friday 01 Dec this year the FAA will farewell two stalwarts in the form of the S-70B-2 Seahawk Bravo¬†and the Aerospatiale AS350BA¬†Squirrel¬†helicopters from service with the Royal Australian Navy and Australian Defence Force. These aircraft have served this nation well and a ‘send off’ fitting their place in history will take place at HMAS Albatross so save the date.
