FAAAA General Reunion October 2018

A general reunion for FAAAA members will be held in Nowra, NSW, over the period Thursday 25 October to Sunday 28 October 2018.  Details are below, together with a registration form.   This weekend has been chosen to coincide with the Association’s Federal Council Meeting (held on the Saturday), which everyone is also welcome to attend.

A registration fee of $40.00 per head is payable for all members attending this reunion.  This fee will help defray the cost of the reunion and will include a Fleet Air Arm shirt, baseball cap and a coffee mug.  This cost is in addition to any of the functions/events that you choose to attend. 

Proposed Program:

Thursday 25 October 2018
Event: Registration/collect sachels 0900-1430 White Ensign Club.
Event: AM/PM possible bus tours of HMAS Albatross. 

Friday 26 October 2018
Event: Official 70th Anniversary Dinner. 
Cost: $60.00 per head members, $70.00 per head guests.
Venue:  Nowra Golf Club – numbers limited to 250.  Seating by tables of 10.
Transport: Free transport to/from selected points in Nowra. 

Saturday 27 October 2018
Event 1:  Federal Council Meeting AM, at the FAA Museum. 
Cost: Nil.  Everyone is welcome.
Venue:  Fleet Air Arm Museum,  HMAS Albatross.
Transport:  Nil.

Event 2:   NSW Annual Luncheon. 
Cost: $35.00 per head for members and guests.
Venue:  Flight Deck Cafe,  Fleet Air Arm Museum.  No more than 120. 
Transport: Free transport to/from Nowra. 

Event 3: Section mini reunions, as arranged.

Sunday 28 October 2018
Event: Reunion BBQ / Model Aero Club display.
Cost: $30.00 per head for members and guests. 
Venue: White Ensign Club (WEC) / Museum grounds. Catered light luncheon, liquid refreshments will be available (2 free drinks each are included in the cost of entry) at the WEC Club. 

Venues with restricted numbers of positions available will be on a ‘First in/Best Dressed’ basis.   Monetary returns for those having paid and missing out on a booked venue due to number restrictions, will be in the form of a cheque in your respective registration satchels.

Funds to put on this Reunion come from the membership, raffles and their support. Registration Forms are available on the website or contact State Secretaries. There will be a loose leaf application in the December 2017 issue of Slipstream as well as raffle books. Those who receive soft copy of the magazine will get their forms/raffle tickets posted.
