Sadly I have been informed that Keith (Donc) Doncon has passed away.
Keith was born on 25 May 1937 in Melbourne, and did a spell as a taxi driver before signing up for a 9 year engagement with the Navy in February of 1959. He completed his Electrical Technician (EMT(Air) training with very good results and was posted to HMAS Albatross where he worked on the Fleet Air Arm’s aircraft of the time. In fact, the majority of his time was spent at Albatross, with occasional deployments aboard HMAS Melbourne.
A notable exception was his posting to the fourth flight of the Helicopter Flight Vietnam, where he served with distinction.
