We have been advised that LCDR GLEX (O) Richard Grezl passed away after a short battle with cancer on Tuesday 31 October, 2023.
Richard was the much loved husband of Wendy, father to Scott, who was lost in a tragic aircraft accident in 1993; Natalie and Katrina and beloved Papa to his grandsons.
A funeral service was held at 1400, Friday 10 November at the Parkview Chapel in Nerang, which was attended by a gathering of family and friends.
The local Currumbin RSL held an absolutely outstanding Remembrance Day service the following day, part of which commemorated departed local veterans, and Richard’s name was added to the list. The Ambassadors for NZ and the Ukraine were in attendance, with pipes and drums and a ceremonial firing party.
