Advice has been received of the death of Ron March, late of Mitchelton, QLD, on 21 December 2024 after an extended battle with cancer.
Ron was a native Queenslander, born in Toowoomba on 24 February 1939 with his record of previous employment marked as “Postal Officer”. He enlisted in the Brisbane recruitment centre in November 1957 for an OEE of 6 years.
Having completed Recruit Taining, he was rated at Naval Air Man (E) and served most of his career on the East coast, mostly at HMAS Albatross or aboard HMAS Melbourne. He was discharged as a Leading Airman in November 1963 the end of his engagement and subsequently lived in QLD.
