Advice has been received that Greg “Yogi” Neasbey passed away in his sleep on 26th November 2025. He was 76 years old.
Greg joined the RAN in June of 1965 and discharged from the Active Reserve in February 2011 at the rank of CPOATA. During his time he served on a variety of Ships and Squadrons including HMAS Sydney (1966), HMAS Melbourne (1973), VC851, VS816 and the 748 Flight. He was, as most Birdies were, based primarily at HMAS Albatross, with the exception of a three year spell at Creswell between 2008-2011.
He was the beloved partner of Eva and the much loved father and father-in-law of Phil & Karen, Justin & Tanya and step-children Shaun, Amanda, Samantha & Ryan. Greg also had many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss him dearly. We extend our deepest condolences to his family at this difficult time.
Greg’s funeral will be held at the Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens, Worrigee Rd, Worrigee on Monday 8th December at 1000.
