Arthur Nixon passed away on Friday 25 April 2020 after a long period of ill-health including Parkinsons’ disease and other complications. He had been bed ridden for two years. He left behind his former wife Aileen,  son Terry and daughters Donna and Jillian.  He Lived in Penrith.

Arthur recruited to the Aircraft Handlers Branch in 1949/50, and served on  Sydney, Vengeance  and Melbourne before transferring to the Regulating Branch.

He served on Melbourne again in 1969-70 as MAA, thence Sydney 70-72 before posting to Albatross.  He discharged from the Navy in 1972 from HMAS Kuttabul.
