Advice has been received that ex-WOATV (ATWL) Wayne Asher passed away on 12 July 2018 after an illness.
Wayne joined the RAN on 7 January 1964 and retired from the Navy on 11 January 2018 after 54 years of combined Permanent Navy and Naval Reserve service. A truly remarkable career.
A memorial service was held on Thursday 19 July 2018 at the Nowra Golf Club, which was attended by some 250 people.
