Brian “Frenchman” Parrot passed away on the 15th August 2008 after a long battle, and his send off was wonderful – so many peo­ple the church was packed. Brian was a great father and grandfather and was so loved by all.

We joined the Navy within weeks of one another so I knew Brian for 57 years. A cheerful and funny bloke that was Brian. We will miss him –   a great mate and mentor to all who knew him, and to his family we love you all.

I bet he is backing a winner now, You son of a gun.
