Tas flew the Seafury from Sydney, hence, a member of the first CAG. Significantly, Tas was one of three who were the first RAN FAA chaps to join Qantas in the early/mid fifties. The other two were Ian MacDonald and Les Fairbairn. I met all of them after I joined Qantas in 1964. After leaving Qantas he returned to the UK where he had spent considerable time on postings to London during his employment with the company.
