Members of the 22nd JRTE Intake (Jan ’68) have recently become aware of an older Birdie by the name of Noel (Huck) Elliott. He is a resident of a nursing home in Wollongong, and is suffering from some debilitating issues. He tells us he joined as a JR (2nd Intake in 1961, did his 12 years as a Birdie Avionics Tech, and spent most of his career at Albatross or on the Melbourne. He was at the ‘Tross when Melbourne hit Voyager, and he was serving on Melbourne when she hit the Evans.
